Legal note
NairaBet
An older Nigerian brand that still shows up on the FCT approved list under Brandstar Limited. Treat it as a local name, then verify the current row.
NairaBet is an FCT row first. The FCT Lottery Regulation Office lists Brandstar Limited, scheme NAIRABET, among its approved sports-betting operators, valid to 23 June 2029 and marked running. The office says any operator not on that list is classified as illegal in the FCT. The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority table we opened on 8 October 2026 had no NairaBet row. If you are in Lagos or another state, find Brandstar / NairaBet on that state’s own list before you deposit, rather than inferring it from Abuja. NairaBet’s own footer cites the National Lottery Regulatory Commission and membership of the Association of Nigerian Bookmakers; the Nigeria guide explains why we read the state and FCT tables instead.

Caveats
- An early brand is not automatically a current licence in every state.
- Watch the domain. “Naira” plus “bet” is easy to spoof.
