Domain, licence line, cashier, then the slip
How to Read an African Sportsbook
Before you build a five-fold, check you are on the country site you think you are on. Clone apps around AFCON are not a hypothetical.
The four-look check
One: the domain. bet9ja.com is not a random “bet9ja-win-now” APK. mozzartbet.co.ke is doing geographic work. A Google ad can lie.
Two: the licence line. It should name a board you can actually visit — LSLGA, FCT-LRO, a South African provincial board, GRA, Gaming Commission of Ghana. “Licensed and regulated” with no noun is perfume.
Three: the cashier. If you are in Nairobi and the deposit page wants a euro wallet, you are lost.
Four: the sports mix. A Johannesburg book should be able to talk rugby without translating it. A Lagos book that leads with MLB is a costume.
Shops are not automatically safer
A branded Bet9ja or Hollywoodbets shop is part of a licensed business. A table in a drinking spot with a notebook and someone else’s app is not. Ask what brand is on the licence, not what nickname is on the speaker.
