Sports Betting in Benin

Décret No. 2023-358 of 12 July 2023, articles 1 and 2, says games of chance, games of money, and bets of every kind are a State monopoly, and that the Loterie Nationale du Bénin exercises that activity and does not have to obtain an approval. Article 3 says a private-law Beninese company may still be approved by a decree in the Council of Ministers, for five years, after an opinion from the Cellule de Supervision du Secteur des Jeux. A published list of those approvals is not confirmed — check the regulator.
